Refund policy

Last updated 28 October 2026

We want you to pay for Pharos only if it is worth it to you. This is how cancelling and refunds work, for site plans and for the browser extension's paid tiers.

Cancel any time

Open Plan and usage, then Cards & invoices, and cancel. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, then moves to Free. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the current period by itself. For the extension's paid tiers, cancel from the same place.

Your first payment: 14 days

If you are not happy with a paid plan, write to hello@localhost within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full, with no questions asked. This applies to a monthly or a yearly plan, and to the extension's paid tiers.

Renewals

If a plan renewed and you meant to cancel, write to us within 7 days of the renewal and we will refund that renewal, as long as you have not made heavy use of it since. After that, renewals are not refundable, but you can cancel so the next one does not happen.

Top-ups

A top-up adds sessions to the current month. It can be refunded within 14 days if the sessions have not been used. Once they are used, it cannot.

When something went wrong on our side

If the service was unavailable for a long stretch, or charged you in error, tell us and we will put it right, with a refund where that is the fair answer.

How a refund reaches you

Payments are taken by Paddle or Bachs.io, who are the seller of record, so refunds go back to the original payment method through them. It usually shows up within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. Where the law where you live gives you a longer or stronger right to a refund, you have that too.

Contact

Write to hello@localhost from the email address on your account, and say which plan and roughly when you paid.
